CREWS Leadership Training a Big Success!

On July 20th, 2011, SoCal CAN welcomed over 70 students from across Los Angeles County for it's 2nd Annual CREWS Student Leadership Training at the University of Southern California. In addition to a Campus Scavenger Hunt and other fun activities, students learned about the state of education in our country today, and how it applies to their personal journey through college and beyond. Students were also taken through a powerful exercise to help them begin thinking about the importance of networking and finding allies both on campus, and from their past. Many students walked away with a great sense of empowerment, and a strong urge to get more of their friends involved.

Now in it's second year, the CREWS Program has expanded to 11 campuses across all major institution types. This year's colleges include:

  • El Camino College
  • Santa Monica College
  • CSU Northridge
  • CSU Long Beach
  • UC Santa Barbara
  • UC Irvine
  • UC Riverside
  • UCLA
  • UC Berkeley
  • Franklin and Marshall College
  • Occidental College
  • University of Southern California
