Who We Are
Overview
The Southern California College Access Network (SoCal CAN) is an alliance of 37 nonprofit organizations working to promote a college-going and completion culture in Southern California. Prior to the formation of SoCal CAN in 2005, member organizations worked independently on increasing college access and completion with a limited budget and scope. Collectively, SoCal CAN members seek to maximize resources and broaden opportunities for the students served by each organization and beyond. Each year, SoCal CAN members reach more than 25,000 students with direct assistance.
Our network includes:
- Community-based college access programs
- National and state-wide advocacy, research and educational organizations
- Philanthropic partners supporting the work and vision of SoCal CAN
- Higher education institutions committed to increasing college-going for low-income students.
